Read it in about an hour. Seems almost poetic that a story about a boys childhood should be over that quickly, for childhood seems to pass by in the blink of an eye. The perfect metaphor. What's more is the film stayed very true to the book, very impressive.
"We laid our blankets out on the ground and lay down on them. Then for about an hour we fed the fire and talked
- the kind of talk you can never quite remember when you get past fifteen and discover girls."
"But the most important things are the hardest to say. It's hard to make strangers care about the good things
in life."
